Ben' di tree as it a grow
I read of this incident on Pricey's FB page, for those who don't know who "Pricey" is, her full name is Rachel Price on Facebook, she is a Trini Comedienne. Her status was of this lady who beat her child, it could be considered excessive, but who am I to judge. The funny thing about that article and Pricey's comments is that, fa real CARIBBEAN PEOPLE GROW UP PAN A CULTURE OF BEATING WI PICKENY!!!!!
Now I am a firm believer in "bending di tree as it a grow", 1st world occupants will disagree. But den again, unoo look pan how unoo pickeny a grow spoil nuh rass & judge we Caribbean folk. Oh you going to mention we crime rate? Tell me about the many psychotic farts who blow up whole buildings, kill dem owna pickeny & play like a smaddy kidnap dem and di likes.... Di Bible itself tells us to not spare di rod & spoil di child..... I'm just saying....
I'm faced with my own conundrum of one particular occurrence of a disciplinary action. I became petulant and choleric in anger as a result I overstepped a boundary I told myself I would never cross. This isn't me defending myself but I realized my wrong early enough to correct it & address the matter quickly. However, for what it's worth some onlookers will call the actions of a passionate parent, or the physical remnants of it, cruel and unusual punishment. For this, I ask the question, at what point is corrective actions of a parent too much? I also ask the question, at what point do you, society, stop and look at the parent's background/history and their efforts to correct what they grew up as knowing as the usual disciplinary activities of a parent towards the erroneous behavior of a child?
The conclusion of it, we'll always judge.... Until you're in the hot seat. SHUT THE FUCK UPT!!!!! -__- Yes! UPT! -__-
