9 y-o Madness

Since last week I've been communiting via public transp & I must tell ya, frenz, there is nothing more entertaining some mornings than to observe the antics of my fellow Jamaicans. No matter how mentally oppressed there will forever be curcumstances worth laughing at. Yesterday whilst awaiting my 'regula robot' taxi there were 4 schoolaz on route to a close by all-age turned junior high school. 2 of the 4 were in the age range 12 to 15 (both firls) & the other two, a boy & a lil girl about age 8 or 9. Now what unfolded before my eyes was 2 senses short of straight theatrical re-enactment.... Says the 12+ y-o to the 9 y-o, "yuh nah tek yuh bag?". To this the lil angelic, heart-shaped face 9 y-o responded, "But ya weh di BBC this, ey gyal! Yuh betta carry DAT!". :O you must understand my deep & utter shock at this. See previous description of said 9 y-o girl. My first reaction was to reprimand her, but before that could happen more unfolded. The 12 y-o girl dropped the child's bag @ which the 9 y-o instantaneously went 'ballistic'. She picked up a boulder twice her size & threw it at the 12 y-o swearing incessantly. The lil boy wanting to quell her anger picked up the bag, brushed it off & handed it to her... Well I guess that was not enough, she threw the bag back to the ground & insisited the big girl picked it up **scratches head**. Need I go further??? Children are the future, & under the guidance of its parents, elders in the surrounding community & school they are to be molded into upstanding citizens, but this lil one I was scared to even approach. If someone towering over her a foot shy of mine own height she was prepared to beat to a bloody pulp, what about me?
